HYDROSEEDING
Hydroseed is an excellent choice if you're on a budget and have time to wait for the seeds to grow! It's made up of a custom blend of water, seed, mulch, and fertilizer that's sprayed onto the topsoil in the form of a slurry. Click below to learn about why hydroseed might be the best option for you!
SOD INSTALLATION
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company, our experience, all members of their crew (and not to mention our final product). It was honestly amazing to watch this hardworking crew meticulously plan and lay our landscaping. Besides hardworking, this crew is so sweet and kind not only to us but to each other, watching them work hard while laughing and enjoying themselves was a special experience. Moreover, I would recommend thing company over and over without any doubts!

WHAT IS IT?
Our hydroseed mixture is a custom blend of water, seed, mulch, and fertilizer. It's sprayed in a slurry form onto the topsoil where it bonds to the surface and eventually begins to grow grass.
COST
Hydroseed is more cost effective than traditional sod. The material cost itself is much lower than sod, and it's also much less labor intensive to install.
TIMING
Grass will first sprout up after about a week! It will be ready for mowing in 4 to 5 weeks, and will continue to establish over the next several months. Depending on your soil type, it may take a complete season to get a lush, full, and thick lawn.
MAINTENANCE
Fresh hydroseed will require extensive watering during the first several weeks. You should expect to water it at least 2 to 4 times per day, for up to 20 minutes at a time.
HYRDOSEED
The cost effective option
WHAT IS IT?
Sod is a pre-grown roll of grass that also includes the top layer of soil. The sod and soil are held together by a root system which eventually grows into the ground it's planted on. Our sod is sourced from the highest quality local SE Michigan farms.
COST
Sod looks great but unfortunately comes at a substantially higher cost than hydroseed. The increased cost is due to the material itself, and the amount of additional labor it requires to install. The heavy rolls of sod are laid by hand, and trimmed to fit around sprinkler heads, walkways, driveways, and the edges of the property.
TIMING
The biggest benefit of sod is how quickly you have a new lawn! Sod offers an immediately green, lush, and healthy lawn that can be installed in just a few days. It can be cut around 2 weeks after installation.
MAINTENANCE
Similar to hydroseed, new sod requires extensive watering for the first 2 weeks to encourage deep root growth. You should expect to water it at least 2 to 4 times per day, for up to 20 minutes at a time.
